Responsible Adult Use

A few plain rules for using cannabis responsibly.

Cannabis is for adults 21 and older with a valid government photo ID. Here are the basics we ask everyone to keep in mind.

  1. Start low and go slow. Edibles in particular can take a while to kick in, so give a dose time to work before taking more. If you are new or coming back after a break, less is safer.
  2. Do not drive impaired. New York treats driving under the influence of cannabis the same as driving drunk. Plan your ride before you consume.
  3. Be careful mixing with alcohol. Combining the two can hit harder than either one alone, especially if you are new to cannabis.
  4. Store it safely. Keep cannabis sealed and out of reach of children and pets, and away from heat and direct light.
  5. Know your own reaction. If a product leaves you anxious or uncomfortable, stop and give it time to pass. Next time you can try a lower amount or a higher-CBD option.
  6. Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding. The safe course is to abstain.
  7. Ask for help if use stops feeling good. If it is getting in the way of sleep, work, or the people around you, talk to a doctor.

Enjoy it, and look out for yourself.
