The Alchemy is built around the conviction that retail belongs to the neighborhood it serves. Here is how that plays out in practice.
How we show up.
- Art partnerships.Rotating in-store installations from New York-based painters, photographers, and ceramicists. Our Chelsea windows are programmed quarterly with a new artist.
- Cultural calendar.We program and celebrate inclusive cultural moments year-round, NY Pride (West Village + Chelsea spillover), Veterans Day, Women's History Month, Pride Month, and seasonal cannabis culture (Croptober, 4/20, Green Wednesday).
- Trade advocacy.We collaborate with our brand partners on consumer education, budtender training days, and visiting-master sessions. Knowledge sharing is part of the procurement contract, not an afterthought.
- Local impact.We engage with neighborhood organizations across Chelsea, Flatiron, Greenwich Village, and SoHo on community-cleanup days, small-business roundtables, and storefront-revitalization initiatives.
